The Authority of the Throne
Know Your Authority - Embrace Your Identity
Identity is a primary point of counter attack.
Expect the Accuser of the Brethren, to ceaselessly question and attack your identity and authority.
Ready & Alert: Gideon’s Army
What does God look for in a solider?
Judges 5:7 – "You shall separate everyone who laps the water with his tongue as a dog laps, as well as everyone who kneels to drink."
An Alert Soldier:
The men that kneeled to drink, remained armed, alert, and ready.
This is what God looks for in His warriors, that they will remain ready, alert, and not be caught off guard.
Meek is Controlled Power
Mat 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Meekness is commonly misunderstood as meaning timid, cowardly, or spineless and encourages a passive behavior that offers little or no resistance to opposition.
The dark kingdom fills the church with propaganda of tolerance and an attitude of no resistance.
Meekness is power under the control of God. That is the attitude of a Kingdom warrior.
Prayer, Petition, & Proclamation
Prayer means, “Do it for me”
Petition means, “Help me do this.”
Proclamation means, “I’m doing it myself.”
As your fighting skills improve, you will learn how to move smoothly between prayer, petition,
and proclamation like a master swordfighter, blending all three into one fierce and fluid weapon.
Prayer
As a weapon, prayer is generally asking God to do for us something we are unable to do for ourselves.
Be short – Be concise
Pray with precision
Avoid meaningless repetitions
Quote God’s word back to Him
Petition
Petition is calling for help.
In practical terms, a petition is a request to God to dispatch Kingdom resources to assist in your engagement with the enemy.
Petition – God sends an angel to help.
Act 12:7 And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly appeared and a light shone
in the cell; and he struck Peter's side and woke him up, saying, "Get up quickly."
And his chains fell off his hands.
Act 12:11 ..."Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of ....”
Proclamation
If the Sword of the Spirit were actually a gun, then proclamation would be the gun’s bullets.
Be short – Be concise
Proclaim with authority
Proclaim with precision
Avoid meaningless words just for words to say
Pause and listen to the Holy Spirit.
Taking the Battle to the Enemy
The War Map
Like the pieces of a puzzle, scriptures detailing the spiritual realm come together to form something resembling a map – a war map.
If the church doesn’t believe it can fight – it won’t fight back.
1Th 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete…
Gen 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image; according to our likeness”
We are spiritual beings and the spiritual part of our triune nature operates in the spiritual realm.
