Blueprint of the Heavens

Col 1:13 - For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

Born into a state of war with God. Only by surrendering our personal war to Jesus, the Prince of Peace, may we come out from under the authority of the dark kingdom and enter into a state of peace with God.


Where is Heaven?

As children we are taught that heaven is high above us and hell, where the devil lives, is deep under the ground in caverns filled with flames and smoke.

How does this stack up against scripture?

Many Scriptures refer to heaven in the plural indicating there is more than one.

Nehimiah 9:6 – you have made heaven, the heaven of heaven with all their hosts. (ie: armies)

2 Chronicles 6:18 – Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain you.


Third Heaven

2 Cor 12:2 I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago...was caught up to the third heaven.


Mid-Heaven

Rev 8:13 Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in midheaven…

Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel flying in midheaven…

Rev 19:17 …all the birds which fly in midheaven,…


First Heaven

Eph 2:2 …the prince of power of the air (heaven), of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

The spirit in the sons of disobedience is the devil and he is prince of the power of the air that surrounds earth.

First Heaven is implied.


Garden of Paradise

Luke 23:43 – And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise.”

2 Co 12:2-4 – a man was caught up to the third heaven…how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words which a man is not permitted to speak

Paradeisos is Greek for garden


Death & Hades

Rev 20:13 – And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them…then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.

Death & Hades are demon princes that rule over hell.


The Mid-Heaven War

Rev 12:7 – And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war.

Rev 12:8 - and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.

Rev 12:9 – And the great dragon was thrown down…and his angels were thrown down with him.


Battle in Mid-Heaven

Dan 10:13 – “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left there with the kings of Persia."


Darkness in the Church

2 Co 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.


The Roles of Angels

Messengers:

• Dan 10:11 – “…for I have been sent to you.”.
• Dan 10:12 –“I have come in response to your words”
• Dan 10:14 –“I have come to give you an understanding.”

Warriors:

• Rev 12:7 – …Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon.

Ministering Sprits:

• Heb 1:14 Are they not ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
• Psa 104:4 – Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire.

Guardians:

• Psalm 34:7 – For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear Him
• Psalm 91:11 – For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.

How Big is Heaven’s Army?

Mat 12:27 – “If by Beelzebul cast out demons…”

Beelzebub is Lord of the Flies

Jesus compares demons in the Kingdom of Darkness to the population of insects – so the question becomes, how many insects are there in the world?

The estimated number of individual insects currently hopping, crawling or flying around our planet at any given moment is about 10 quintillion, or the number "10" followed by 18 zeros, according to entomologist Dr. E.O. Wilson [source: Smithsonian Institute]. That means there are about 2 billion insects for every human being…[source: Hogg]. – Source Animal Planet


Our Part in God’s Army

Rev 12:7-9 – And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon (Satan); and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 12:11 – And they (the believers on the earth) overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Rev 12:12 "Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short."

God’s Government

Col 1:16 – For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:

Mat 8:9 – For I am also a man under authority, with soldiers under me;


Satan’s Government

Eph 6:12 – For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Col 2:15 – When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.


Thrones

• Rev 19:16 – King of Kings and Lord of Lords
• 1 Ti 6:15 – King of Kings and Lord of Lords
• Rev 17:14 – Lord of Lords and King of Kings
• Isa 9:6 – Prince of Peace
• Heb 10:19 – Members of God’s Family
• 1 Peter 2:9 – We are of a Royal Priesthood
• Heb 10:19 – Boldly walk into the presence of God
• Heb 13:12 – We are made holy
• Isa 54:17 – Righteousness is Inherited
