Fundamentals of the Faith v2VID - Fundamentals of the Faith - Part 1

Course Number: TH 2040-31
Fundamentals of the Faith, ICM Course
Category: Theology & Ministry
VID - Video Course
Credit Hours: 3hrs

The Apostle Paul warns us, "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons." (1 Timothy 4:1)

In an age where the Christian faith is being challenged and where absolutes are under attack, there comes an incredible need for believers to "...be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you..." (1 Peter 3:15)

The Word of God was and always will stand alone as the only immovable pillar of truth, that proclaims God's absolutes. His Word is His inspired, infallible and authoritative revelation of Himself to man given to us in the Holy Bible. So it is of the utmost importance that believes, "Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine..." (1 Timothy 4:16) that is revealed through God's Word.

"Fundamentals of the Faith" is based on "The Foundations of Christian Doctrine" by Kevin J. Connor and is a two part comprehensive study of sound Christian doctrine that will strengthen believes as they "contends for the faith." (Jude 3) Jesus said, "Heaven and earth will pass away but My Words will by no means pass away." (Matthew 24:35)

In part 1 of this two part series we will look at:

  • The Christian Doctrine
  • The Doctrine of Revelation
  • The Doctrine of the Scriptures
  • The Doctrine of God
  • The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit
  • The Doctrine of Angels

Dr. Barry E. Slimm presents this course. He holds a Doctorate in Theology from International College of Ministry, is a conference speaker, an author, and the current Lead Pastor of Faith Covenant Church, Quakertown, PA.

Without Excuse v2VID - Without Excuse: The Science of Intelligent Design

Course Number: TH 2110-30
Without Excuse: The Science of Intelligent Design, ICM Course
Category: Theology & Ministry
VID - Video Course
Credit Hours: 3hrs

This eight-lesson course is an International College of Ministry course for all ICM students, as well as any person interested in scientific discoveries from a biblical world-view.

Science has grown by leaps and bounds over the past fifty years and with all those advances came an unexpected complication. Instead of proving the world’s generally accepted theory of evolution, science discovered evidence that can only be explained by design – intelligent design.

This course explores creation through science in light of God's Word which tells us creation is self-evident and all are without excuse for not seeing it.

Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

This special 8-lesson course is built around a series of video documentaries that explores God’s creation through science. Each week we will combine a video presentation along with in-class discussion.

Topics covered in this 8-week series include:

  • Design, Chance, & First Life on Earth

  • DNA & Biological Information
