Life Coaching Principles - Managing Your Resources

You may think you own your resources but that is not true.

Psalms 24:1 The earth is the LORD'S, and all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.

Psalms 50:10 "For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.

God is the owner; you are the manager.

The moment you take ownership is the moment you begin to lose.

To be responsible is to be a good manger.

Ownership is not your responsibility.

Management is your responsibility.

A good manager will:

  • Work well when no one is watching.
  • Make sure his boss looks good.
  • Give his boss a good return on his investment
  • Work hard with integrity because it's the right thing to do.
  • Stay humble but at the same time be confident in their ability.
  • Give credit where credit is due.
  • Acknowledge the Lord in all his ways.
  • Repent when he violates one of God's principles.

Luke 16:10 "He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much."

Small actions can have enormous consequences.

Faithfulness is not just with money.

Faithfulness includes:
  • Your time
  • Your resources
  • Your skills
  • Your words
  • Your commitments
  • Your attitude

We work for the King of Kings.

God is watching and waiting to test our faithfulness.

When God sees our faithfulness, He promises to reward us with more than we can imagine.

Faithfulness includes the principle of sowing and reaping.

2 Cor 9:6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

A Life Coach must understand that his client will never be successful without an understanding and obedience to God's principles.

God wants us to live with overflow.
  • Some live in not enough
  • Some live in just enough
  • Some live with overflow

Abundance is overflow.

Overflow is for others.

John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
