Someone, please tell us what we are supposed to do. There is a certain level of comfort we feel when we do not have to take responsibility but simply obey a rule. In the old covenant, there was an extensive collection of rules for living Godly. These rules were difficult to follow and resulted in a lot of condemnation. Today religious spirits operating in some churches do the same thing. So many times, we try to understand what God wants us to do. The answer is simple but powerful. Jeremiah made a prophecy about the coming new covenant. In the Book of Jeremiah, chapters 31 through 33, the Prophet Jeremiah describes very clearly that the law of God will be written within our hearts. Your heart is the center of your being. It is where the Holy Spirit resides.
In the new covenant in the book of Romans, chapter 8, Paul said those led by the Spirit are God's sons. What is the answer? What does God expect us to do? How much should I give? Where should I go to church? How should I respond? What is the answer to my problems? What does God expect of me? Every answer to questions like these comes from the Holy Spirit of God. And where is the spirit of God? He is inside of you! Brothers and Sisters, we must start listening to the Holy Spirit! We obey the law of God when we follow the Holy Spirit living in us.
